Gender Equality and Health

The Annual Seminar explores issues around gender equality and health. The European Commission’s Gender Equality Strategy 2020-2025 identifies that ‘women and men experience gender-specific health risks’. It commits to integrating a gender dimension in health policies such as the EU Beating Cancer Plan to be launched in 2020, and to facilitating ‘regular exchanges of good practices between Member States and stakeholders on the gender aspects of health, including on sexual and reproductive health and rights’. The webinar aims at promoting reflections on how to effectively mainstream gender equality into health policies.
